Telltale signs of Facebook stalker?

MLM

Question by Phil N: Telltale signs of Facebook stalker?
I have a Facebook/internet stalker. My stalker works very hard at trying to ruin my life. This person has tried many times to add me as a friend and has sent many weird messages to me. My stalker at first used his real name, but now it seems like the next step is to create some dummy Facebook accounts using fake names to add me or harass me. I just “know” he is going to do this! I have everything set to private and ignore strange people who add me, unless I realize I have a lot in common with the new person, and that they are cool(after exchanging many messages/emails), and only then it is okay to add. Sometimes, an old friend I haven’t seen for a long time remembers me a lot better than I remember them(I forget last names so easily, which doesn’t help), and they add me; I have a bad memory sometimes. But how can I tell if it is my stalker? Among the most obvious signs of a stalker I would think:
1) No photo on their Facebook account
2) No friends or very few friends
My stalker could of course invent a new identity, steal someone elses photo and even build up a list of fake friends. If he does something clever like this, how can I tell if it is him? I will not “surrender” to my stalker and give up Facebook because of him – that would mean he wins, and I refuse to let this happen. Crazy as he is, he’s never been violent. Thanks!

Q&A: My Yahoo and Facebook acounts were compromised, can u help me?

MLM

Question by Narciso: My Yahoo and Facebook acounts were compromised, can u help me?
I was supposeably kidnapped in London, England and many of my friends on Yahoo and Facebook were contacted to pls send money asap and that the message was not a hoax, but it was and I never sent any such message. The email and Facebook messages originated in Nigeria, Africa (countries I have never visited). Yet Yahoo and Facebook quickly disabled all my accounts with them blackballing me from entering my accounts after so many years of information (family pictures, phone lists, addresses, etc.) built onto those accounts on their forums. How do I get this problem resolved like yesterday or am I hit and have no case with appealing for Yahoo and Facebook to reinstate my accounts? I never backed up any of my files sorry to say for me.

How strange! The same thing happened to me this morning! I was able to find a phone number for yahoo-866-562-7219. I called them and they reset my password allowing me to get into my account and change the password.

I don’t know if it affected my facebook friends, but I was able to get there without a problem. I wonder how these people got into my accounts, and think that it might have to do with Facebook.

what companies advertise on facebook?

MLM

Question by xxx: what companies advertise on facebook?
I JUST learned, as a victim myself, that Facebook is disabling profiles of 100,000s of ACTIVE users! Contacts, blogs, comments, years of hard work building a social profile – GONE! I have friends there I cannot find any other way.

FB gives NO prior warnings for inane “rules violations”, such as “adding too many friends”, adding friends “too fast”, “emailing someone not on your friend list”, “posting too fast on walls”, etc. What is FB for again?? And FB gives you NO specific reason why they issued the arbitrary lifetime ban, which they tell you that you cannot appeal!

All FB says is “you post too fast”. Well, what are the limits or rates at which we are allowed to post? They say “Well we can’t tell you that, but you exceeded it”. What kind of policy is this exactly? They can’t expect people to abide by the usage rules, when they refuse to make those rules available.

And what happens to your profile when you are banned, they keep it on their server? Privacy again! HELP!

BTW why don’t they just hide the “add a friend” or “send a message” links from non-friends if you’re not on someone’s friend list, if they don’t actually want you to use them?? I don’t like adding EVERY person I talk to onto my personal friends list.

After tons of research on google, I found out how common this problem is,
I’m willing to start or join a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT (discrimination, other?). Help.

I also would like to know what companies are advertising on facebook so I can begin contacting them to explain how many eyeballs they’re losing from Facebook’s policies. Help.

I want change, policy change, how about warning people, 1-hour bans will slow people down, 1-day bans will make people think, but sudden and unjustified lifetime bans will make people angry!
