Help building a good gaming computer?

MLM

Question by bark00000: Help building a good gaming computer?
i would like to upgrade my current computer, but to do so i would need to completely gut it as all the parts are at there peak as far as compatibility goes. I have decided to buy a whole new system. i would like it to be a decent gaming computer capable of playing most new games (assasins creed, crysis, etc) at medium-high settings. a few stipulations i have are that: it has to be quad core, i don’t want it to be the bare minimum as i want it to last a while(at least 2-3 years without upgrade), and it should be under about 00 canadian. i know that to get a smoking system i will have to pay more than 1500, but this is my price range. when answering just list off the parts and i will know what your talking about. PS: if you have a link to a site just email it to tysrandom@hotmail.com or post the link as your answer. THANKS ALOT!!!
thanks for the input. i do realize that quad core’s don’t really impact gaming that much, but i would like one just so i don’t have to re-upgrade in a few years
i am not as power hungry as some people are when it comes to their systems. i prefer to get a whole new top of the line system and let it “die” over a few years, instead of constantly upgrading to keep up with the current tech. (btw when i say top of the line, i don’t mean “over the top super computer”)
I also already have a nice case thats big enough to fit any part on the market, and a nice dvd. im really just looking to upgrade the insides. (processor, motherboard, graphics card, ram)

Quad cores don’t really help so much in gaming but if thats what you want you need Intel’s Core 2 Duo Q6600. You should use a 8800GT graphics card, a good lets say 500watt OCZ PSU, 780i motherboard.
